Tunisia: Maltese FM - 'Democratic Transition Process in Tunisia on Right Track'

Carthage — "The democratic transition process that Tunisia launched is presently on the right track, despite the scope of the challenges the country is facing," said Malta's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tonio Borj.

Following his talk Thursday in Carthage with Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali, Mr. Borj added that "success of the democratic transition in this country, the cradle of the Arab Spring, will surely have one of the most positive impacts on the success of the democratic experiences in the rest of the world."

The talk also turned on Tunisia's participation in the 5 +5 Summit, due in Malta on October 5-6, 2012, and on means that would energise the Tunisian-Maltese relations in several fields.
