Nigeria: Lagos Prohibits Drunk Driving, Eating While Driving

A new road traffic law Thursday came into force in Lagos with more stringent conditions, some of which out rightly prohibit motorists of all categories from drunk driving, eating and making phone calls while driving on all state roads.

The traffic law also restricts commercial motorcycles and tricycle operators from operating on 443 roads, 41 bridges and all roads in Eti-Osa Local Government Area.
