Zambia: Bowling Team Wins

THE Zambia bowling team has continued to put up an impressive show at the 2012 Seven-Nation Africa States Bowling Championships currently underway at the Umhlali Country in Durban, South Africa.

According to results released by Sports Council of Zambia (SCZ) board member Ian Mbewe, Zambia managed to win three out of the four games played as of Wednesday.

Zambia dropped one game in the women's singles when Matimba Like narrowly lost 18 shots to 21 shots to Mirriam Ndungu of Kenya.

Mbewe said hope is, however, not lost as Marimba has five more games to play as games are being played on a round robin.

In the men's fours, Zambia beat Kenya by 22 shots to 14 shots.

The women's team has Foster Banda, Edah Mpezeni, Evelyn Mpepesa, Mary Ntonongela while the men's team is represented by Godfrey Chanda, Harry Musonda, Trajan Mpepesa.
