Angola: Federation Official Envisages Good Performance of Cadet Team in World Cup

Luanda — The chairman of the Angolan Handball Federation (FAA), Pedro Godinho, last Wednesday in Luanda said that he envisages a good participation of the national cadet females team in the World Cup of Montenegro, scheduled for 16-26 August.

Speaking to ANGOP, the federation official explained that Portugal (the first adversary) are at the same level as Angola, although the European team's players seem physically better.

In the world championship, the Angolan girls will also face Norway, Brazil and Japan (18, 19 and 21 August respectively).

This is going to be the cadet team's second participation in the World Cup.

In the last world championship, held in 2010 in the Dominican Republic, the Angolan cadet females squad finished the competition in the 13th position.
