Morocco: Commander of the Faithful Inaugurates 'HRH Princesse Lalla Aicha' Mosque in Casablanca, Performs Friday Prayer

HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, inaugurated, Friday in Casablanca, "HRH Princesse Lalla Aicha" mosque, where he performed the Friday prayer.

The new mosque includes two praying rooms, one for men and another for women, houses for the imam and the muezzin, a room to teach the Koran, the headquarters of the Ulema Council and a centre for Koran studies and researches.

The mosque, which has a capacity of 4,500 worshippers, was built on 4,564 square meters, in accordance with authentic Moroccan architectural standards. Its construction stems from the special attention HM the King, Commander of the Faithful, gives to religious affairs.

The project is also part of the state's policy to build mosques as part of an important programme meeting the worshippers' needs , with a harmonious distribution of mosques across the Kingdom.
