PROTEA Hotels have promised continued support for sport in Nigeria following successful hosting of the Protea Corporate Golf Challenge held last weekend at the Ikeja Golf Club.

General Manager of the Oakwood Park office of the hotel, Tim Webster The Moment told that his company will support sporting activities as much as they have opportunity to do so.

"We are very happy with the level of success we have achieved with this competition; we are using this tourna- ment to relate with our clients, andawaytoshowtothemwe care. We will be glad to sponsor more sporting events if we have the opportunity," Webster said.

Meanwhile, Ayo Sanusi emerged winner of the one day event after scoring 37 points. Esimaje-Yomi Egbe scored 36 points to come second while M. Olaitan emereged third with 35 points.

Alaba Adetunji won in the women category having scored 32 points. H.K. Jung and Ruth Oluwatosin are second and third respectively.

For their victory Sanusi and Adetunji will embark on an all- expense paid to South Africa, and will spend seven days at any Protea Hotel in that country. In addition they will get a set of gift items and Super-sports branded cap.
