Nigeria: Osun PDP Slams Governor Aregbesola

The Peoples' Democratic Party in Osun State has called on Traditional rulers and founding fathers of the state to caution Osun State governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola against turning the state to Lagos State annex.

According to the Director of Media and Strategy for Osun State PDP Prince Diran Odeyemi, "there is nothing bad in copying Gov Fashola's style of governance in as much as it is for the good people of Osun State but where Governor Aregbesola appears not to see quality men and women in Osun State and as such formed the habit of recruiting his Lagos based boys to key position in the state is alarming.

Odeyemi lamented that the appointment of Mr. Tokunbo Afikuyomi from Lagos as a contractor to midwife the creation of new local government areas in Osun State is very embarrassing asking "What is the sense in asking someone who does not know Osun State to come and create Local Governments in the state?"
