Nigeria: Enyimba Demand U.S.$400,000 From South African Club

Enyimba have demanded the sum of $400,000 from South African club Free State Stars for their promising forward Razaq Adegbite.

A visibly disturbed Razaq told MTNFootball.com that Enyimba's asking price may now scuttle his dream to move to the Premier Soccer League in South Africa.

"I really don't know how to get Enyimba to release me to Free State Stars for my career to blossom. I have been appealing to them to see reasons with me but they are not shifting grounds," the former Enugu Rangers star disclosed.

"They want $400,000 from Free State Stars. This is a huge amount of money and I know I am worth more than this, but for the sake of my young career, I would want them to be put up a more realistic figure so that I could begin my career soon."

He further added: "There is no way that I will regret my move to Enyimba in the first place because I know it was the right move for me at that particular time.

"Enyimba are a great team and I believe that before the transfer deadline in South Africa, reason will prevail on my management to release me for a more reasonable fee."

The attacker distinguished himself for Gateway FC of Abeokuta before he teamed up with Rangers from where he moved to Enyimba in mid-season.
