Angola: Police Ready to Secure Pilgrims At Muxima Sanctuary

Muxima — The second commander of Police in Luanda, sub-commissioner Francisco Ribas said that conditions are ready for the security of over 500,000 faithful that will participate this weekend in the pilgrimage at Muxima Sanctuary.

The police officer said to Angop that new performing methods are being used by the corporation on the ground in order to facilitate the casual disorders before, during and after the pilgrimage.

"Although we see few police staff with uniforms in the streets, we are acting with police personnel in civilian clothes, and for far we have not recorded any kind of incidence, as in previous editions it was marked by robberies in cars and other external accessories", he said.
