Egypt: Family House to Dispatch High-Level Delegation to Meet Morsy
4 August 2012
The Family House council will form a high-ranking delegation led by Grand Imam of Al-Azahr Ahmed al-Tayyeb and acting patriarch Bachumius to meet with President Mohamed Morsy as soon as possible to discuss the measures needed to be taken for avoiding a repetition of Dahshur incidents.
The house called for applying law and bringing to trial those involved in the incidents and applying deterrent punishments. It also called for offering compensations for those affected and resettling families who left their houses as soon as possible.
The council also invited the interior minister to a meeting at its premises at Al-Azhar to discuss what should be done to prevent any recurrence of the Dahshur incidents.
