Angola: Inauguration of Railways to Boost Rural Trade in Country

Lubango — The Minister of Trade, Idalina Valente, said this Saturday in the city of Lubango in the southern Huíla province that the opening of Luanda, Benguela and Moçamedes railways will boost exchange of products between the countryside and city.

Speaking to Angop, the official said that business people will not have difficulties in transporting their products because the railways of Benguela, Moçamedes and Luanda will be available to facilitate the transportation of people and goods from the countryside to cities.

Besides the circulation of railways, the minister said that the government is rehabilitating and building roads that connect the centres of consumption to the regions farming production, a factor that will provide success to the programme in the country and respond to actions of fighting hunger and poverty.
