Angola: MPLA Official Confident of 'Right Vote' for Ruling Party

Lubango — The coordinator of the monitoring group of the ruling MPLA Central Committee to the province of Huila, Gonçalves Muandumba, Saturday, in Lubango, expressed confident that the militants, friends and supporters of his party are ready to vote correctly, with civics and patriotism, on August 31.

Speaking to Angop, after his arrival in the city of Lubango, which will monitor and direct a mass political action in the district of Quipungo, Gonçalves Muandumba said he believed in consciousness and mobilization of militants in the "right vote" and winning elections on August 31.

"We are pleased with the number of voters and activists that the province of Huila has. I think it will be the second election region, after Luanda, so we will have enough votes to lead our party to victory in these areas, "he stressed.

According to him, the MPLA in the country, particularly in southern Huila province, works in the sense that elections are conducted in an atmosphere of unity, democracy, respect for difference and civics at a time when Angola recorded ten years of peace.
