Tanzania: Tanapa Revises Conservation Fees, Service Charges

THE Tanzania National Parks (Tanapa) has revised conservation fees with effect from July next year to June 2015 whereas various service charges have been raised by between 100 to 400 per cent.

A notice by the authority, however, has given one year grace period for stakeholders to start implementing new charges that will now be increased after every two years. "The new tariffs will be effective from next year as tour operators need prior notice of at least one year before enforcement. Tariffs will be revised after every two years," read part of the notice.
