Nigeria: ACN Yet to Decide On Jonathan's Impeachment - Akume

6 August 2012

Senate minority leader, George Akume has said that the Action Congress of Nigeria, (ACN) is yet to take a decision on the issue of impeaching President Goodluck Jonathan over his failure to implement the 2012 budget.

Akume who spoke to newsmen in Abuja, said all the ACN is insisting on is for the rule of law to prevail on the nation's democracy so that things would be done properly. "All the ACN stands for is the rule of law; I don't think the ACN has taken a position on the impeachment of the president. It is the resolution of the legislature that the entire goal of the budget is achieved."
