Egypt: Environment Minister Pays Surprise Visit to South Sinai Nature Reserves

State Minister for Environmental Affairs Moustafa Hussein Kamel paid a surprise visit to nature reserves in South Sinai to listen to workers' demands and complaints.

The visit is part of efforts aimed at overhauling nature reserves, which will be run by an independent body to be an affiliate of the Environmental Affairs Ministry.

A statement by the Ministry said on Sunday 5/8/2012 that Kamel highlighted the importance of applying decentralization.

He promised to resolve problems facing workers in the nature reserves in the entire Sinai Peninsula.
