Egypt: Nation to Bid Farewell to Its Martyrs in a Military, Popular Funeral

President Mohamed Morsi accompanied by Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, the commander in chief of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister Hisham Qandil will lead the military and popular funeral of the innocent martyrs who were killed on Sunday 5/8/2012 at the eastern borders in Rafah.

The savage attack left 16 officers and soldiers killed and seven injured while they were undertaking their duty of safeguarding the homeland frontiers.

The funeral procession will be held by the Armed Forces, in honor of their sons, following Noon prayers at Al Rashdan mosque in Nasar City.
