The Freetown Waste Management Company (FWMC) in collaboration with the Freetown City Council (FCC) and the Sierra Leone Road Authority (SLRA) over the weekend conducted a cleaning exercise in the east of Freetown.
Acting general manager of FWMC, Sulaiman Zainu Parker, told Concord Times that the cleaning exercise was borne out of concerns over the current pandemic of cholera within the country which he said was due to the unhygienic environmental condition.
