Amavubi striker Bokota Labama has joined SC Kiyovu on a one-year deal. The controversial forward had a relatively quite season with Rayon Sport by his standards but the green baggies' coach Jean-Baptiste Kayiranga is not fazed by that.
The former Blues coach insists that having Bokota in the dressing room is good for the youngsters.
"He fits the profile of the player we want; he has played for big clubs and I'm certain that he will give us the experience and character that we were lacking last year," Kayiranga said.
"He is not a spent force. He can still score goals but more importantly, I think it's great to have him in the dressing room."
Bokota has enjoyed a distinguished career playing for DRC's AS Vita Club, DC Motema Pembe, FC Les Stars, APR and Rayon Sports.
He also has 20 international caps and nine goals to his name.
Other Kiyovu signings include Abdul Mudeyi from Rayon Sport, Marines' Alexis Nyirimana and Haruna Niyonzima's young brother Muhadjiri Hakizimana from Etincelles.
