Sudan: Torrential Rains Destroy Tens of Homes At Jebel Camp, Eastern Chad

Jebel Camp — Torrential rains at the Darfuri refugee Jebel camp, eastern Chad, destroyed more than 30 homes on Monday.

A refugee from the camp told Radio Dabanga that storms damaged the tarps used for the tents, causing them significant losses. They are now living under poor and difficult conditions and they claim not to have received tarps for more than three years.

He appealed to humanitarian organizations to provide them material so they can protect themselves from the heavy rainfall.
