Nigeria: El-Rufai Briefly 'Detained' At Lagos Airport

Former FCT minister Nasir el-Rufai was briefly detained by security men at the Lagos airport yesterday while he was attempting to board an Emirates flight to Dubai.

In several postings he made on social networking sites Facebook and Twitter recounting his ordeal, el-Rufai said he was stopped by SSS operatives for about 15 minutes and told of "orders" to stop him from travelling out of the country, but was later allowed to proceed on the trip.
