Tunisia: Credit Guarantee Agreement in Favour of Sonede Company

Tunis — The National Constituent Assembly adopted, Tuesday, the draft law providing for the approval of a Credit Guarantee Agreement signed between Tunisia and the French Development Agency (AFD) related to granting a credit in favour of the National Water Exploitation and Distribution Company (SONEDE).

This credit, worth 80 million dinars repayable in accordance with a half-yearly system over 20 years with a grace period of 7 years, is destined to co-finance a programme aimed to boost infrastructures and improve the capacity of drinking water production in Tunisia.

The programme predicts the achievement of 23 projects concerning six hydraulic systems in the whole country.
