Southern Africa: CME Holds 15th Ordinary Session Thursday

Luanda — The National Electoral Commission (CNE) will hold its 15th extraordinary plenary session on Thursday in Luanda to analyse, among other matters, the ongoing electoral campaign at provincial and national levels.

The meeting will also tackle matters concerning the 14th Annual General Conference of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Electoral Commissions Forum that will be held on September 23-25 this year in Botswana.

CNE is the body tasked with organising, coordinating and executing all operations linked to the electoral process ahead of the general election of August 31 this year in Angola, in an operation involving 10,349 polling stations and 5,359 voter rolls.
