Angola: Minister Opens Agro-Livestock Fair in Lubango

Lubango — The 9th edition of the five-day agro-livestock fair opened Wednesday in Lubango, southern Huila province, during a ceremony presided over by the minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Afonso Pedro Canga, Angop witnessed.

The fair will display and bring under an auction 1,000 cattle of various kinds and agricultural equipments from 25 firms of the sector.

On the occasion, the chairman of the Southern Angola Cattle Breeders co-operative, Luis da Fonseca Nunes, said that over the last years Huila businesspeople have been implementing various actions that have resulted in the creation of jobs, support for agriculture and contribution to the country's economic growth.
