Cuango — Angola's main opposition UNITA party president, Isaias Samakuva, pledged to offer a transparent governance for the country, based on democratic principles, should he win the election of August 31 this year, Angop learned.

The politician made the pledge during a mass rally held Wednesday in Cuango municipality, north-eastern Lunda-Norte province.

He explained that a UNITA electoral victory will enable Angolans to live in a state of equality of rights.

Highlighting his party's electoral manifesto and governance, he called on militants and sympathisers to flock to the polling stations in a civic and democratic manner.
