Ghana: Police Lauds Public for Comportment

press release

The Ghana Police Service wishes to express its heartfelt appreciation to the general public and motorists for co-operating with the Police on the first day of the performance of the funeral of the late President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Prof. J.E.A. Mills.

We observed that events of the day went smoothly and peacefully due to the general comportment put up by members of the public.

The Police are calling on the good people of Ghana to exhibit the same level of comportment and co-operation for the rest of the burial and funeral rites of our late President.

While assuring them of maximum security, it is the hope of the Police that the general Ghanaian public will once again demonstrate their law-abiding and peace-loving nature to ensure a successful funeral rite for the late President.
