Khartoum — The Rapporteur of the Supreme Council for Decentralized Government, Ahmed Mohamed Al-Mahi, received Wednesday at his office the permanent representative of the of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JPICA) and representatives of the Organization of Agricultural and Food Organization (FAO) in addition to the representative of the Japanese Center for Voluntary Work.
The meeting reviewed the Assessment of Urgent Support Project in the Blue Nile and South Kordofan States which was implemented by the JAICA in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Decentralized Government through international and local partners and the governments of the two states in providing seeds and agricultural extension to enable the returnees to produce their own food as well as providing drinking water and ownership of the returnees to means of production.
The Supreme Council for Decentralized Government has underscored the importance of implementation of these projects where the seeds and farming equipment were distributed among 15.500 families in the two states.
