Pakamos, no doubt is another Gambian sensation currently blazing the music scenes in Luxembourg. The reggae dancehall, afro cum hip-hop star, is best renowned for his positive vibes as he's determined to reach the world music summit one day.
Pakamos, who dropped his debut album in 2012 called 'Fire in the Jungle' is presently eager to make his trade mark in the world music scene. Born in the Lower River Region village of Pakaliba,the inspirational reggae star started his solo career way back in 2005 in the Gambia before he travelled to Luxembourg. As an active with strong passion for reggae music in general, Pakamos is a specialist songwriter, composer cum arranger.
During a recent visit to the Smiling Coast of Africa, he told What's On, that his music promotes morality, love, peace and social conscience which range from the moves to sensitivity to rage over injustice. "I try to portray the good image of Africa true cultural music with much of the positive message I sang. I am an African Rasta who stands for humanity, peace and respect for all mankind. I thank God and my parents and my friend like Jah Kezz. I recorded my first album called 'Fire in the Jungle' which was released in the world market in 2012," he said.
This latest masterpiece, according to him, enabled him to gain international recognition as an international artist, taking into account that he subsequently travelled for the first time to a number of European countries like France, Germany, Belgiumin a bid to promotehis masterpiece.
"I believe with the continued preaching of positive messages African music will go higher height. In the meantime, I am playing with a band from Congo but I am making plans to have my own musical band from my home land to back my music. I am also advising young Gambian artists to start playing with a live band or play any instrument, which greatly enhance your talentability in the development of ones' music," he added.
