Zambia: Shikapwasha Quizzed

THE Government Joint Investigations Team yesterday recorded a statement from former Information and Broadcasting Services minister Ronnie Shikapwasha for allegedly directing the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) to air the controversial Stand Up for Zambia television documentary.

The Joint Investigations Team had summoned Lieutenant General Shikapwasha to answer questions on his involvement in the broadcasting of Stand Up for Zambia presented by propagandist, Chanda Chimba III prior to last year's elections.

Gen Shikapwasha who was accompanied by his lawyer, Hobday Kabwe arrived at former Taskforce on Corruption offices at 14:45 hours and was questioned up to 16:00 hours.
