Nigeria: Impeachment Threat - Political Vendetta Against Jonathan, Says NDYM

Ughelli — Niger Delta Youth Movement, NDYM, yesterday, said that the impeachment threat against President Goodluck Jonathan was being championed by those on political vendetta.

Urging President Jonathan to remain focused and committed in his resolve to rebuild and transform Nigeria, the group called on all Nigerian youths to join hands with the President to rid the country of corruption and terrorism and build a more stable and prosperous nation.

Ndym, in a statement by its national president, Mr. Godspower Odenema and national secretary, Mr. Moses Omo-Ikirodah, said the almost insurmountable hurdles put on the way of President Jonathan in his declared readiness to rebuild and transform Nigeria were the handiwork of enemies of the nation.

The group vowed to shut the country any time a northern president assumes leadership of Nigeria after the second tenure of President Jonathan.
