Nigeria: Plateau - Plans to Impeach House Speaker Thicken

There is palpable anxiety mounting at the Plateau State House of Assembly (PLSHA) over alleged plans by some aggrieved lawmakers to impeach the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon John Clark Dabwan.

THISDAY gathered that the lawmakers are accusing the Speaker of poor representation before the state executive arm of government. It was further gathered that most of the legislators prefer to replace Dabwan with his predecessor, Honourable Istifanus Mwansat, who led the 6th Assembly.
