Tunisia: London 2012 Olympics - Swimming - 10 Km - Oussama Mellouli Olympic Champion in Open Water Swim

London — Tunisian swimmer Oussama Mellouli won the gold medal in the men's 10 kilometre open water swim at the London Olympics, on Friday.

He clocked 1h00 49sec 55cent ahead of German Tomas Lurz, silver medal (1h00 49sec 58cent) and Canadian Richard Weinberger, bronze medal (1h00 50sec 00).

It is the 3rd medal for Tunisia, after the bronze one won by the same athlete in the 1500 m freestyle and the silver medal for Habiba Ghribi.
