Nigeria: One Dead,18 Injured in Fatal Auto Crash on East West Road

Port Harcourt — One person died instantly yesterday while eighteen others sustained injuries in a ghastly auto crash at the Elele Alimini end of the East West road.

Commander of the Rivers state sector of the Federal Road Safety Commission,FRSC DR. KAYODE OLAGUNJU who confirmed the sad incident, said the injured were rushed to the Ahoada General hospital in Ahoada local government area.

Adding that the corpse was deposited at the hospital's mogue. The Sector Commander said the accident involved a bus and a car that had a head on collision.

He said the registration number of the vehicles involved were a Toyota Corola, Reg No SAP 244 AA and a Toyota Haice , Reg No LG 30 ABU, adding that the Toyota bus, belonged to a Local Government in Rivers state.
