Angola: Sports Minister Hails Community Centre Project

Luanda — The Youth and Sports minister, Gonlçalves Muandumba said last Friday in Luanda that the project of building a community centre in the urban district of Benfica will play an important role in structuring and boosting sports in Angola.

Speaking to the press in the ceremony that served to lay the foundation stone for the construction of the mentioned infrastructure, the minister explained that this move is part of the government's project of supplying the necessary means to the sports sector from the grassroots.

He revealed that this project includes the upgrading of sports officials, coaches and former sports persons.

Gonçalves Muamdumba said this is a "noble programme" that was inspired by visits paid to some foreign countries, which is also intended to become an asset to the development of Angolan sports.
