Nigeria: Why Education Sector's Growth Is Stunted - Professor Oloyede

The outgoing Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Professor Ish'aq Olanrewaju Oloyede, has called on the Federal Government to ensure thorough supervision and monitoring of its financial commitments, so that its huge investments in the education sector, particularly in university education, can achieve the desired results.

Oloyede pointed out that lack of proper supervision and monitoring of Federal Government's huge investments in the education sector over the years has largely remained the bane of the sector,hence the results do not justify the huge investments of the resources in the sector.
