Egypt: Foreign Ministry Working to Restore Local Antiquities in Mexico

Egypt's embassy in Mexico has been contacting Mexican authorities to restore Egyptian antiquities that date back to the Pharaonic age.

The antiquities were seized on the US-Mexican borders last week during a smuggling operation to the US.

In statements Friday 10/08/2012, Egypt's Ambassador to Mexico Ibrahim Khairat said that the Egyptian Embassy notified the Antiquities Ministry of this incident and contacted the Mexican authorities to restore those relics.
