Namibe — Over 300 books by various authors were delivered Wednesday to the general education school "Rui Duarte de Carvalho", in south-western Namibe province.
Delivered the books was the writer David Capelenguela, resident in southern Cunene province.
David Capelenguela told Angop that the action is intended to remember the writer Rui Duarte de Carvalho, who died on 12 August, 2010.
"I owe him gratitude, because it was he who enabled my contact with the aspects related to Angolan traditional and oral culture", he stressed.
In her turn, the school director, Maria Augusta Carvalho, thanked the David Capelenguela for the move and stressed the importance of books, in the teaching and learning process.
