Angola and Mozambique Seek Visa Facilitation

Maputo — The Executive secretary of The Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), Tomas Solomão, said Tuesday in Maputo that the process of facilitation of migration between Angola and Mozambique is in its final phase.

Speaking at a press conference, Tomas Solomão explained that the phase of documents ratification is in the final stage and the process is only delayed due to the ongoing electoral process in Angola.

He called the attention to the illegal immigration of citizens from other regions seeking for stability in the SADC zone and those who take advantage of the weaknesses in the arrival countries to get local identification documents that allow them to act as nationals of such countries.

Nonetheless, Tomas Solomão told people to avoid hostilities against foreigners as long as their presence does not bring instability, increased crime and piracy.
