Sierra Leone: Councillor Lombi Is Zero, Says Aberdeen Chief

As the 2012 elections get closer and politicians joggle around to win the hearts of electorates despite claims that most of them have not lived up to expectation in their respective localities, Aberdeen Road chief, Pa Alimamy Kargbo aka The People, last week claimed that the councillor for the area has not done anything to improve the lives of people in the community.

In a short interview with Concord Times at his residence, the chief said: "I will not hesitate to say that Victor Lombi of Ward 391 in Constituency 111, Aberdeen Road, has not done anything for the community. He has abandoned the people and I have not set my eyes on him in the past two years."

Pa Kargbo said this was not the case while Lombi was eyeing the symbol as he was always seen around the community people asking them to vote for him, which made many youths in the area to support him.

While highlighting some of his people's needs, Pa Kargbo said that since he became the chief four years ago, they have been advocating for a health centre which is yet to materialize in the area. He said they need a public primary school for their children not to go too far and also need increased water supply either through pipe borne or bore holes.
