Nigeria: NUT Threatens Strike Over Unpaid Allowances

The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) on Thursday issued a September deadline for states yet to pay the 27.5 per cent allowance to their teachers to do so or face an indefinite strike.

The National President of the union, Mr Michael Olukoya, gave the deadline in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
