Tunisia: Partisan Advertising Forbidden Inside Mosques - Religious Affairs Ministry

Tunis — The Religious Affairs Ministry said, on Friday, that "partisan advertising is forbidden inside mosques."

Some political parties have distributed, over the last days, pamphlets on their parties' activities.

"It is forbidden to use mosques for partisan purposes whether through speech, activities, banners or pamphlets," according to a communiqué released by the Ministry.

"Measures will be taken and legal proceedings will be brought against those who were involved in these abuses," added the same source.
