Lobi Stars in-form striker, Anthony Okpotu has revealed the secret of his new found goal scoring form as he said God has everything he has done this season is by the special grace of God.
The Flying Eagles new invitee and Lobi Stars highest goal scorer with eight goals has a chance to increase his tally in the final league game against Kaduna United.
On Wednesday, Okpotu scored a brace to begin the humiliation of Rangers International at the Akume Atongo Stadium Katsina-Ala. Lobi set back Rangers with an emphatic 3-0 win.
Speaking to Shot! after the match, the Lobi Stars marksman said he is currently on fire because the grace of God is sufficient in his life and he has been anointed by the almighty to take his club to the continent.
Okpotu explained that he believes in his ability as a striker but the manner in which he has scored goals in recent times clearly shows that God is using him positively for club and country.
He said when he was released to come and play against Rangers, he knew that he was going to score but he never imagined scoring two goals in such a fantastic manner.
Okpotu in addition attributed his goals to his team mates who have displayed so much commitment and unity since the commencement of the season.
"I want to thank God for everything. Without him, I can do nothing. I attribute the goals I have scored to God because that is where I derive my inspiration and strength.
"My team mates too have been supportive. I have enjoyed playing with them because we play for one another. Against Rangers, I knew I was going to score but I never imagined it would be such fantastic goals.
"I cannot thank God enough. I hope to keep scoring for club and country. If God says yes, who can say no?" he said.
