Angola: Churches Urged to Contribute to Spirits Pacification - Says Culture Minister

Luanda — The Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, said on Friday that the churches are urged to give their best and contribute to the pacification of spirits due to its capacity of intervention and mobilization.

The minister said so while addressing the inauguration of the Cathedral of Our Lord Jesus Christ Church (Tocoist church), in representation of the Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.

The official said that the church by diffusing the Word of God provides the believers and communities the emotional equilibrium.

According to Rosa Cruz e Silva, the Angolan State needs credible partners, in face of the challenges the new times, considering Tocoist Church a true collaborator of the State.

The act was witnessed by nearly 60.000 faithful of the referred church, officials of the Angolan executive, representatives of political parties and guests.
