Angola: Beneficiaries of FAA's Social Pension Scheme Get Houses

Luena — Some five beneficiaries of the Social Pension Scheme of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) benefitted on Friday from a house each in Luena city, eastern Moxico province.

The keys of the respective houses were handed over in during a ceremony led by the Minister of the national Defence, Cândido Pereira dos Santos Van-Dúnem. Speaking to the press, the Defence Minister said that his sector wants gradually to give dignity to former militaries who fought for the conquest of the national independence and peace.

For the continuation of the project, the minister laid a cornerstone for the construction of hundred houses.

The launching act of the first stone was attended by the director of FAA's Social Pension Scheme, General João Luís Neto "Xietu", beneficiaries and local staff of the fund.

Currently, 858 beneficiaries of FAA's Social Pension Scheme are registered in Moxico province.
