Nigeria: Aviation Stakeholders Condemn Attack On Minister

A pressure group, the Aviation Stakeholders Union has condemned attack on the Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah describing it as antics of disgruntled elements seeking attention.

The condemnation was expressed by the National Co-ordinator of ASU, Capt. John Akinjide and National Secretary, Shehu Kumsa at a press briefing yesterday in Abuja.

According to the group, "It is no secret that our airports and terminals built in the 70s were decayed and in a state of dysfunction. All airport users attest to the fact that our infrastructure were a disgrace and embarrassment..."

They commended the minister for "her giant strides" despite the barrage of criticisms from her "detractors" stating that the on-going remodeling and reconstruction work at over 11 airports across the country is there for everyone to see.
