Eritrea: Keren Residents Laud Service By Health Institutions

Keren — The residents of Keren indicated that health institutions in the city are rendering commendable service in line with the improvement they are witnessing as regards humans resource and equipments.

They further explained that the institutions are also registering considerable accomplishment pertaining to community enlightenment, and that popular awareness regarding malaria, mother and child health, as well as environmental health is on the rise.

Among the residents, Ms. Amna Mohammed and Ms. Almaz Aibu lauded maternity service being rendered by the health institutions.

Kedija Omar, health professional, called on female residents of the city between the ages of 15 and 45 to attend an immunization program which is already underway, and the community as a whole to extend a helping hand towards promoting antenatal care.

Mr. Temesgen Zerimariam, head of the health institutions in Keren sub-zone, pointed out that community sensitization activities have been carried out pertaining to non-communicable diseases.
