Zimbabwean forward Edward Sadomba scored two goals to help his team Al Hilal to win over Al Ahly Shandy.

Sudanese club side, Al Hilal was grateful for an equaliser by their Zimbabwean international striker Edward Sadomba that cancelled an earlier strike by Kelechi Osunwa opener. Al-Hilal was hosting their arch-rivals Al-Merreikh in Sudan tense derby at Al-Hilal Stadium in Omdurman city, on match day 2 of the 2012 Orange CAF Confederation Cup group A.

Al-Merreik, the visitors got off to a strong start with Zambian striker Jonas Sakuwaha going close to finding an opener after a fine cross from veteran captain Faisal Al-Ajab.

Al-Hilal then had their chance after a mistake at the back allowed Senegalese striker Ibrahima Sane through but he could not beat the Egyptian veteran goalkeeper Esam Al-Hadary.

The home began to dominate play with their four strikers , Ibrahima Sane, Mudathir Careca and Edward Sadomba supported by Mohannad Al-Tahir. Soon a battle against Merreikh defense line led byIvorian central defender pascal Wawa,Najmeldin and Musab Omer ensued .

Al-Merreikh Sudanese international midfielder's Badreldin Galag made the matter worse for his team when he received his second yellow card leaving his side down to ten men. Al-Merreikh's Brazilian coach Ricardo made changes to accommodate the sending off quickly replacing captain Fiasal Al-Ajab, bringing in midfield-defender Nasreldin Al-Shighe. Al-Merriekh stuck with their balance strategy and made Al-Hilal struggled to reach the Al-Hadray's goal despite dominating the game.

Against the run of play Klieche Osunwa put Al-Merreikh in front with a shot that beat home team goal-keeper Almoez Mahgoub on (45+2)minutes of the first half.

At the start of the 2nd half Al-Hilal got off to a flyer with an equaliser from Edward Sadomba whose volley flew in to the nets past diving Al-Hadary.

Al-Hilal French coach introduced Nigerian and Sudanese international Yussuf Mohamad, Muaoya Fadasi and striker Al-Tahir Hammad respectively, while Al-Merreikh brought on Mohamad'Duffur' Abduallah and RamadanAjab.

Both sides had chances to increase the scores with Merreihk's Musab 's goal bound shot saved by Al-Moez and five minutes later Ibrahima Sane dribbled past Al-Merreikh Brazilian central defender Eder Lima and with only Al-Hadary to beat he blazed his effort over the bar.
