Angola: Transport Minister Witnesses Presentation of New Port of Caio Locality

Cabinda — Transports minister Augusto da Silva Tomás last Sunday in the northern Cabinda Province chaired the ceremony that marked the presentation of the construction project of the new Port of Caio on deep waters.

The minister highlighted the importance of the infrastructure for the development of Cabinda Province, as well as for the country in general.

"This infrastructure will be of extreme importance to sustain and stimulate the development of Cabinda", he said.

He also said the executive has been giving the appropriate response in regard to the issue of transports and communication infrastructures, and that Cabinda Province needs a high quality port, with international standards.

The ceremony was witnessed also by the Planning minister, Ana Dias Lourenço, the secretary-general of the ruling MPLA, Dino Matross, besides other members of the ruling party's Politburo, provincial government official, civil society members, traditional and religious entities.
