Addis Ababa — Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi has died at the age of 57, state TV announced on Tuesday.

The Ethiopian prime minister has been absent from the public eye for over two months. He died around 11.45 pm local time on Monday.

Zenawi has been sick for the last four months and was receiving medical treatment for two months in Europe over undisclosed illness.

He was said to be recovering in the last two weeks and was expected to be back in office before Ethiopian new-year 2005 turning in on September 11.

However, his illness became worse in past few days, leading to his death.

Sudan Tribune has learned that Deputy prime minister and foreign affairs minister Hailemariam Desalegn will be the acting PM temporary.

Ato. Meles died young, many in Ethiopia, Africa, west and east of The African continent still needed him. He was liked and hated almost in equal measure if you go by what Ethiopians say! By any measure one among many post Liberation movement african leaders who achieved so much for his country, continent and the world at large. A man who chose carefully which wars to fight, who understood how the Global issues affect his country and where to fit Ethiopia on this new trend! For many among these Herod of Africa didn't actual advance into this new world order! Hope his legacy will not only be as mark antonie would say! "The evils men do live after them.......good often burri... With their bones! May his soul rest in peace Ato melees!

It's Sadden but yet still let Africans face the FACT. We "Africans" do have brilliant, intelligent, patriotic, wise, loveable etc leaders and yet still they can't deliver to the Africans as the suppose to. Let's slightly go back to history; since the days of our greatest leaders, how many of these great African Leaders have gone to the colonials for cure medically ever come back to Africa alive to sustain the good works that need to be done in Africa?? How many?? The Only ones that do come back to Africa to do their works are the puppet African leaders. Please bear in mind that the colonials have being systematically comprising strong and bitter conspiracies against all GOOD AND BETTER African Leaders - and so, why is it that these African Leaders still can't realize about such conspiracies. They know what these colonials have done to Africans and Africa; and to be frank, these colonials do not want to face the consequences at all. So, they "Colonials and Imperialists" will do anything to continue to wipe out the best and brightest of any African Leader be it the most rescent such as Ghadafi or not. Furthermore, why is it that African Leaders will not build such great facilities like HOSPITALS and make sure that the best and brightest of Africans stays in Africa and in their respective countries?? Why Africans?? Moreover, how long will it takes any good and great African Leaders to realize that HOME and your ORIGINALITY come first?? We have being saying that the colonials like Africans for nothing else but for their minerials and yet still we "Africans" continue to run to those say imperialists and colonials - what's going on Africa, what's going on??? So, the destruction that these colonials and imperialists are insighting or casting upon Africans and Africa is being surely cultivated by many Africans. LET THE ALMIGHTY LORD HELPS AFRICA; OR ELSE, THE DOWNFALL OF AFRICA AND AFRICANS WILL KEEP CONTINUE BY THESE IMPERIALISTS AND COLONIALS.
