Angola: Physical Rehabilitation Centre to Help in Athletes' Performance

Luanda — The Angolan minister of Youth and Sports, Gonçalves Muamdumba, Monday in Luanda said the project of construction of the first physical rehabilitation centre will help to improve the country's athletes in international competitions.

The official was speaking to journalists during the launch of the project that will be built over a plot of 4,500 square metres on the premises of the "11 de Novembro" stadium, in Luanda.

He said the undertaking will mainly cater for athletes serving the various national teams and training categories.

Goçalves Muandumba said as well the conception of the infrastructure follows the need to improve the performances of the national teams with a view to positive results in African and world competitions.

The country's first physical rehabilitation centre is estimated to cost between three to four million US Dollars and will be built by a local company.
