Nigeria: Emir Wants Military Barrack in Kafanchan

Kaduna — The Emir of Jama'a, Kaduna State, Alhaji Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu, yesterday called on the Federal Government to establish a military barrack in Kafanchan.

Muhammadu, who stated this in his Sallah message, urged the Kaduna State government to collaborate with the Federal Government to establish an Army barrack in Kafanchan in other to enhance security in the area. "A military barrack in Kafanchan will further bring development to our area.

I also call on the people of Jema'a Local Government Area to continue with the peace initiatives in Southern Kaduna. The peace agreement entered into by the Nigerian Youth Council and Youth wings of JNI and CAN should be sustained.

My council will continue to cooperate and support government on peace and developmental initiatives.

We commend the Kaduna State government for the provision of aid to victims of the recent crisis in Kafanchan, and we urge all beneficiaries to effectively utilise the items," he said.
